There was a tremendous amount of anticipation in the lead up to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but after the hype has died down, a lot of moviegoers may be feeling the heat. It seems that some of the scenes in The Last Jedi focused on the love between Poe Dameron and Finn. That's the opposite of what some people expected.
Some people actually wanted the movie to feature a romantic relationship between the two of them. However, it looks like, unfortunately, it was not to be.
J.J. Abrams told Vulture that the two characters have feelings for each other, but Finn is not willing to commit in any kind of way. But it's even worse. Both Poe and Finn don't even seem to really vibe with each other romantically in the movie.
That's a very large change from the original trilogy. In the original Star Wars movie, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa had a very physical relationship. The movie worked because they loved each other and wanted to fall in love. The same was true for the prequels.
Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in theaters on December 20, with an extended edition set to release a week later on December 28.
