Harrison Ford , star of "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" movies, is on track to start filming the new "Indiana Jones" movie in the UK later this year, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Ford, who plays adventurer archeologist Harrison Ford in the films, has "confirmed that the film's production is set to begin later this year," according to the magazine.

The classic 1981 film "Raiders of the Lost Ark" helped establish the adventure series, which has spawned four more films and television shows.

The latest movie is set to star Ford, and is a prequel of sorts.

Steven Spielberg, the director of the first three "Indiana Jones" films and producer of the new movie, and recently made news after finishing a high-profile investigation of President Donald Trump.

In 2014, Ford told Variety that an update to "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" had begun, but that no other details had been revealed.

"(Spielberg) called me up and said, 'I got a story for you. It's going to be great, I promise. I think it's going to be as good as the other one,' " Ford said at the time.
