MOUNT RUSHMORE, NEB.—Following a successful shot at the three-pointer, former President Jimmy Carter announced Friday that he would be added to the wall of fame atop Mount Rushmore following his successful full game of skeet shooting. “President Carter has a lot of skills when it comes to shooting guns, so now I think his name can truly be remembered for his athleticism and how, after overcoming health issues, he is truly the living reminder of how tough every president has been to deal with,” museum manager Derwin “Piccolo” Fjordenson said following the occasion, which marked the fifth time a former president has completed a full game of competitive skeet shooting in the last century. “It’s a bittersweet moment for me, and frankly for all those who celebrate a president’s heroism as their monument. But it’s time to add him to the great list of former presidents who gave their all to the United States of America and the American people.” Throughout his presidency, Carter often bowled a perfect 300.
