Brazilian international Roberto Firmino put Liverpool ahead in the first half with an emphatic header after Philippe Coutinho's pass and Nathan Redmond hit the post with an injury-time shot.

Sadio Mane gave Liverpool a 3-0 lead in the 61st minute by coolly finishing after turning inside the area.

Captain Jordan Henderson converted a penalty for the fourth with 10 minutes remaining after being fouled by Marc Albrighton.

It was a comfortable win for the league leaders withstanding only one Leicester challenge after the break and the Foxes could only do very little with Henderson's penalty.

Klopp's side are five points clear of Manchester City with Arsenal now in third place.

Newcastle United's 1-0 home defeat by Burnley also means only two more points separate second and fourth with Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur three points further back.
