Express Engineering, a provider of diesel transport and logistics solutions, has announced plans to invest £3.5 million in a new facility in Edinburgh, to handle the growth of its services.

Express Engineering recently opened a state-of-the-art European logistics depot in Chester and has recently expanded its after-sales and logistics services from two sites in Australia to a logistics hub in Perth, adding more than 25 dedicated engineers for delivery and field support teams, including customers and delivery partners.

The company is employing specialist graduate schemes to develop senior-level skills at Express Engineering, with the first scheme, designed for engineers with a strong background in logistics and mechanical engineering, having recently begun. It has a year-long scheme with Halifax College and Adelphi College of Technology, Norwich, to produce up to 10 graduates who will become registered engineers and pursue careers in engineering logistics and technical logistics.
