LONDON (Reuters) - Lucozade Ribena, the drinks joint venture between Reckitt Benckiser and Suntory Beverage & Food, on Friday said it had opened its fourth production line to strengthen production in China, where sales of premium drinks are surging.

The site, part of the Suntory Gin Factory in Shenzhen, will produce Lucozade’s flagship product Lucozade Ribena, which has a mixture of milk and strawberry juice.
That part of the line will start production in March, the company said, marking the opening of the new production line. The total initial investment of the new production line is 29 million euros ($36 million), it said.
Lucozade Ribena’s production is currently split between Britain and China. The company said this new investment would boost production in China and allow it to make a greater range of quality drinks.
The company posted revenue of 754 million pounds in 2017.
