Thanks to The Bus Stop's Instagram page, we can all just visualize how terrifying it is to go down to the bus stop naked.

And now we know that by giving bras full-page, blue subway ads--with bras that fall across the face of the ads, ensuring that nobody can close their eyes during the experience--is the only way to get off the subway naked in Times Square at night.

According to the Gothamist, photographer Maria Valverde created the NSFW ad campaign that features a red, white, and blue bra with some of New York City's landmarks superimposed on it to advertise breast self-exams.

While the spot is meant to promote awareness about breast cancer, the MTA refused to run the campaign on their buses, since it includes potentially sensitive bodies parts.

But a friend of Valverde's created the bras that take up more space on the subway, so that we can get off the train with one spare breast, and all of the extras can go back onto the subway again.

You can read the backstory of how Valverde came up with the idea for the ads on her Instagram page .
