How artists are celebrated at the BRIT Awards.

From the sketches of Frank Turner, Malcolm McLaren and groupie Debbie Harry to the musical covers of "Stones in Exile" by Adele and Annie Lennox, these are the moment that organizers have fondly considered an alchemy of dreams and acts of will -- and a sense of hope and fortune that gripped the British pop scene in the late '80s and early '90s.

In 2000, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) picked this moment as its Time capsule: the first-ever compilation of the BRITs performance highlights, which it describes as "the truly iconic moments, moments that mark a genre at its birth, a moment that started the trend for media-based awards shows."

Originally released on limited edition vinyl, this compilation is available for pre-order -- or re-sale -- and in search of hard-to-find, rare images that may add a touch of pop culture nostalgia to any playlist.
