1st-time All-Stars - All-Stars
Paul George and Clint Capela - Toronto
Jayson Tatum and Jayson Tatum - Boston
Milwaukee Bucks Julius Randle and Giannis Antetokounmpo - Milwaukee
George and Capela are both averaging at least 19 points and 11 rebounds per game this season and have been pivotal to their teams' late-season surge. Tatum and Randle are first-year stars for the Celtics and Bucks, respectively, but they have recently proven themselves to be worthy of their All-Star berths after shining in their first seasons with their respective clubs. Randle and Tatum have combined for 18 double-doubles over the past month, and Randle and Randle have each scored 20 points or more in four straight games. The Eastern Conference's newcomers won't be the only ones coming off strong rookie seasons in the Rising Stars Challenge, where they'll face off against teammates George and Tatum for the first time. All five will also compete in Sunday's All-Star Game, and each has at least one game during their rookie season when he's seen as a serious MVP candidate.
