We all know that you should date someone you feel comfortable around -- which means you probably don't want to be subjected to the person's flaws -- because then your relationship will be more successful.

Unless, that is, you're still browsing pictures on a dating app to make sure you get something right.

That's what one woman in the UK is doing after refusing to put in any effort in trying to fit in a new partner with her friends -- just because it's easier and took less time.

Twitter user Emily wrote that she is an Avon model and refuses to do commercial or advertising work because she needs to live a normal life. So why would she even meet for dinner to go out on a first date? Simple: she prefers seeing him through a photo, as her friends will probably show up anyway.

"When you've made a fresh start every single time and haven't even tried really to live a normal life... I need to show my new beau my existing friends again," Emily tweeted on Sunday.

"I guess it's easy if you've never been a virgin or never let go of the old one. When you've gotten a little too comfortable in your old person's life and felt safe with no friends to get off on the night, it's easy to go dating a lot less," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

But, what if your friends would show up anyway? Emily replied, "I just hope they turn up to the date. I'd be absolutely gutted if one of my 'friends' turned up to the date because he knows his fate with me as soon as he walks through the door."

"And you're really just judging a book by its cover in this case. So, you get a dirty window into a dead duck but that's all... You think of everything you would want to see?" she continued.

Emily, for her sake, you're going to need to up your game and make an effort to date someone who at least has a chance of looking at you the same way, or your friends will be starting to call your new boyfriend creepy.

Stay off the dating apps, dude!
